Four New Plays by Four Latinx Playwrights mentored by Four Latinx Legends

By Luis Roberto Herrera

Directed by Sofia Ubilla

A ghost story

Two roommates haunted by unresolved trauma struggle to sleep through the night in an old and seemingly empty house. As the night goes on and on and on, they are forced to confront their past and the painful realities of who they are to each other, and themselves.

This program features four emerging Latinx Playwrights mentored by four legends of our field to shape four new plays. There were a series of roundtables that actively engaged the playwright in our Cohort's process. And now we have reached the final stage in our Intensive with the Industry Reading at the Kabyitos Theater in The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural & Educational Center. We have secretly been renovating this space over the past year and a half with new infrastructure, equipment as well as dedication to bringing audiences to this historical venue in the city. We are so excited to have our Industry Readings be the first official LPC event at our space.
